Suzanne Marguerite Tinayre was a prolific French novelist and woman of letters. This was her only crime novel and is listed in Hubin.
It concerns the celebrated case of Madame Lafarge and whether she really murdered her husband nearly a century earlier.
Very scarce with only one copy cited by COPAC in the British library.

NF/VG – sporadic foxing to prelims and more pronounced to fore-edge. No inscriptions. Clean unmarked boards. The jacket has a couple of price labels but is complete except for minor loss at base of spine and a small chip at top left corner of back panel. There is an area of scraping also towards base of spine where price labels have been applied.
