Wilde’s long letter from Reading Gaol to Lord Alfred Douglas, published two years after his death. The 1905 edition is, however, an incomplete and substantially edited text; Robert Ross, Wilde’s literary executor, suppressed most of the letter’s content at the time. The full text was not published until 1962.
